Welcome to Livingston Elementary School

Livingston Elementary School is a place where students participate in an effective model of learning, one in which a creative and rigorous curriculum is afforded to every student regardless of learning styles, disabilities, or diversified culture.  Our school consists of General Education, Bilingual, ESL, Self-Contained, Basic Skills Instruction and Inclusion classes.  Art, Library, Physical Education, Music, and World Language are given on a weekly basis. All fourth and fifth grade students are invited to participate in instrumental and chorus.

Livingston has a diverse group of highly qualified teachers, ranging from first year teachers to veteran teachers.  All teachers continuously take or attend Professional Development courses

throughout the year.  In addition, new teachers are mentored and are provided with additional professional development and support.  All teachers have common planning time to develop ideas and strategies for instruction.  The Social Worker and Guidance Counselor assist teachers and students with social emotional learning throughout the year. A nurse, therapists, secretaries, custodians, and food service workers all play an integral part in assisting our students and maintaining an efficiently run building.

We celebrate the diversity of our students throughout the year with programs, such as Hispanic Culture, Black History, Women’s History, Student Showcase, and Social Emotional Learning Assemblies, where tolerance and sensitivity are embraced.  Students individual talents are encouraged during these assemblies.
